What is Caricature?

Caricature is the art of cartoon portraits! Humans look a lot of different ways, and caricature is capturing that uniqueness of every person on a page. I'm an artist dedicated to capturing every face in a fun and special way that they can enjoy.

Do you travel outside Huntsville?

Yes! J-toons is based in Huntsville, Alabama but we service Huntsville- Madison, Athens, Decatur, Toney, Scottsboro, Guntersville, Nashville, Chattanooga, Birmingham, and everything between!There is a premium for events local to North Alabama with zero travel fee for events in 80 miles of Huntsville, Alabama!

How far in advance should I book?

It’s always best to book as early as possible, especially for weddings, holiday parties, conventions, and busy spring/fall weekends. Some dates fill several months in advance. However, last-minute bookings may still be available depending on the schedule, so it never hurts to ask!

How many caricatures can be drawn per hour?

On average, 9-15 black-and-white caricatures can be completed per hour. Faster event-style sketches help keep lines moving while still giving guests a fun, personalized keepsake to take home.Color portraits can expect 7-12 drawings per hour, for events looking for a more vibrant take home!

Do guests get to keep the drawings?

Yes! Every guest gets to keep their caricature as a personalized keepsake from the event. One of the best parts of live caricature entertainment is that guests leave with both an experience and a custom piece of artwork they can take home immediately!
